Summer Camp at the Library

Sign up for camp at the library this summer!

  • Monday Aug 4 - Thursday Aug 7 + optional Friday field trip (additional cost)

  • 9am - 12pm, please drop off your camper no later than 9:15am

  • Ages 5-10

  • $150 for the week, with option to add on Friday field trip for $50

  • This year, we will add an optional Friday fossil-hunting field trip. One parent must attend, and the cost for this guided fossil hunt is $50 per child. Fee will be paid directly to Mike Doran, our fossil guide.

Each day will feature a different theme* with experiments, crafts and sensory activities to keep the kids engaged and learning while having a ton of fun!

  • Tuesday: Nature Day

  • Wednesday: Art Day

  • Thursday: Dino Day

  • Friday: Optional fossil-hunting field trip (additional cost, parent attendance required)

Campers will need to bring water and a non-refrigerated lunch. Commercially-packed nut-free snacks will be provided.

Camp Registration

Once you submit your camper’s information, you’ll be directed to pay for the camp.

Please submit one registration for each camper you’re signing up.

  • Instructors are background-checked library volunteers.

  • Campers will bring a lunch from home, and we will provide commercially-packed nut-free snacks. Please let us know if your camper has an allergy. If your camper’s allergy requires an EpiPen, please send it with your camper.

  • Inclusion:

    The Fairmount Community Library welcomes children of all genders, ethnicities, national origins, disabilities, religions, and sexual orientations.

    Behavior Expectations:

    Our camp is designed for children who can remain in a group setting without 1-on-1 assistance.

    Campers are expected to be kind and responsible, and behave in a respectful way to each other and to our camp volunteers.

    If your camper is being disruptive, our camp volunteers will first try to redirect your camper. If the behavior persists and is affecting the camp experience for other campers, your camper may be dismissed from camp.

  • Yes, your camper must be able to use the restroom without assistance. Volunteers are not allowed to be inside the restroom with your camper.

  • Medications: We are not able to administer any medications at this time.

    Fever & Illness: Please do not send your camper to camp if they are exhibiting signs of illness, including a fever. Campers who miss any part of camp will not receive a refund for days missed.

    • Wear weather-appropriate clothing & comfortable shoes

    • Please apply bug spray and sunscreen before camp

    • Extra change of clothes

    • Non-refrigerated lunch

    • Filled, reusable water bottle

    • Optional: backpack, sunglasses, hat
